Cookies
What this site stores in your browser, and how to accept or reject the optional kind.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so the site can remember a choice or count a visit. toolkitspring.click uses very few. Rejecting optional cookies does not hide readings, rates, or the contact form.
Our full privacy notice sits on the privacy page.
Essential. These remember that you have answered the cookie banner, so we do not ask on every page load. They are needed for that memory to work. The site remains usable if you reject optional cookies.
Analytics (optional). If you accept, we may set a cookie that counts page visits in aggregate. It does not write your name. If you reject, we do not set it. First-visit rejection is stored as a choice, not as tracking.
We do not use advertising networks, retargeting, or social plugins that drop third-party cookies for a feed.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| toolkitspring_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | Until you clear local storage, or about twelve months if the browser treats it as a cookie analogue | Toolkitspring (first party, stored in localStorage) |
| ts_analytics (only if you accept) | Counts page visits in aggregate so we know which public pages are read | 6 months | Toolkitspring (first party) |
The banner writes toolkitspring_cookie_consent in localStorage, which is not a classic HTTP cookie but is treated here as a stored preference with the same honesty: you can clear it, and rejecting optional analytics still leaves every page working.
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Both buttons are available; neither is hidden. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and others each have a “cookies” or “privacy” panel). After clearing, the banner will appear again.
You may set your browser to block third-party cookies. This site does not rely on them for readings or the form.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and images from public hosts such as Unsplash and Pexels. Those hosts may receive your IP address as part of fetching a file. They may set their own cookies according to their policies. We do not control those policies. If you block third-party content, fonts and photographs may fall back to system defaults or fail to display.
Rejecting optional analytics does not block the contact form, the journal, or the audit-process pages. Blocking all site data will forget your banner choice and may also forget nothing else of importance: we do not keep a shopping basket or a login.
